Narayanpet - a town in Mahabubnagar district of Telangana is synonymous for its cotton and silk sarees. The weaving process of Narayanpet cotton sarees is a unique one where eight sarees are made at a time on the loom. The first step of the process involves dyeing of cotton yarn to make sure that the color is spread uniformly throughout. Then it is dried under shade and finally loaded into the loom.
